It provides a comfortable grip and balanced feel, which reduces hand fatigue during extended use on the job site. The rigid blade design ensures even pressure distribution, allowing for smooth, consistent finishes on every corner.

Suitable for

• Finishing outside corners in drywall installations
• Applying joint compound and plaster to 90-degree wall corners
• Masonry and rendering work on external and internal wall corners
• Renovation and construction projects requiring precise corner detailing

When it may not be suitable

This tool is not designed for internal corner applications, where a dedicated internal corner trowel would be required. Additionally, it may not be suitable for large flat wall surfaces or curved architectural features.

Key specifications

• Tool type: External corner trowel
• Target angle: 90 degrees
• Application areas: Masonry, plastering, drywall finishing
• Professional hand tool design

How to use

To use the STANLEY external corner trowel, apply the plaster or joint compound directly to the outside wall corner using a standard trowel or knife. Position the corner trowel against the fresh material with the blade flush against both sides of the 90-degree angle. Draw the tool smoothly along the length of the corner with steady, even pressure to remove excess material and shape a sharp, precise edge. Allow the compound to dry before applying any final sanding or secondary coats.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify that your project specifically requires an external corner tool rather than an internal one
• Check the angle requirement to ensure it matches standard 90-degree corners
• Consider your project scope to ensure this professional-grade tool meets your durability needs

Usage recommendations: Clean the trowel thoroughly with water immediately after each use to prevent plaster or compound buildup and ensure long-lasting performance.
